This highly collaborative degree will help you acquire the creative and technical skills to build an industry-standard styling portfolio that showcases professional, imaginative, and visually engaging fashion imagery.
Fashion Styling is about creating outfits and fashion imagery based on a concept. Graduates will be fully trained to style, produce, and art direct for print and online fashion magazines, ad campaigns, commercials, e-commerce, look books, fashion shows, fashion videos, and personal clients.
Right in their first course, students will be introduced to the foundations of fashion styling and have the opportunity to work on photo shoots with models, photographers, makeup artists and hair stylists. As students advance in the program, they will mature their skills in personal styling, product styling, while learning to produce and art direct their own photo shoots. By their senior year, students will style menswear and womenswear editorial photo shoots for various publications, and build their styling portfolio.

flore morton
Associate Director / School of Fashion
During her 20 years in the fashion industry, Flore Morton has designed for Martin Margiela and Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermès women’s ready-to-wear department in Paris. She has expertise in tailoring, dressmaking, knitwear, leatherwear, swimwear, accessories, and styling. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the École Supérieure d’Arts Appliqués Duperré in Paris. Flore joined the Academy’s School of Fashion in 2006, teaching portfolio-level fashion design, fashion styling, and photo shoot production. She also developed the only accredited Bachelor of Fine Art degree program in Fashion Styling in the U.S., and is the fashion editor of 180 Magazine. She is fluent in French.
BANU REYNOLDS
Full-time Styling Instructor / School of Fashion
Moving to New York City in 1980, Banu Reynolds worked various jobs while creating her own clothes. After a couple years of networking, Banu began work as a freelance fashion stylist, designer, and consultant.
She has worked with various media, music, and entertainment organizations such as MTV, Showtime, TMC, Comedy Central, VMA’s VH1 Music Awards, Atlantic Records, Mirabella, Elle, Westchester Magazine and the Grammy’s.
Celebrities she’s styled include Barbara Streisand, Roger Daltry, Robert Plant, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, John Stewart, Michael Jackson, Run DMC, Robert Osborne, Will Smith, Jenny McCarthy and Beef Films.

Danielle Rueda is a Fashion and Lifestyle photographer and since 2008, has worked in Manila, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York.
